Nice. But I always found it sad that there was only ONE male character in the manga and anime that had any significant role... and that was Natsuru himself. While I certainly have nothing against yuri, removing the possibility of any real hetero couple in the show (except for one with Natsuru) made this show weaker. Natsuru never had to worry about any love rivals from other male characters... and he didn't have a SINGLE real male friend? Where was his parents? where was anyones parents? The school and the town didn't seem normal at all. Where was the whole stigma about turning into a girl? The guy turns into girl aspect was pointless since they didn't make use if it or even make a point of it... they could have made Natsuru fully female and it wouldn't have changed the story one bit. So much wasted transgender potential :(

@ Anon 2, Somehow, in a anime/manga that about girls beating the crap out of each other in some magical contest, I doubt there was even a single thought about a guy that magically becomes a girl having transgender issues.
Now, if the transformation was permanent (I believe he changes to and fro throughout the series) than maybe, but again, its a anime/manga about girls beating the crap out of each other in some magical contest. The creators probably didnt give a fuck beyond how much yuri they can get away with before it is considered a hentai...

@anon3 That's why I said "If they had made Natsuru fully female and it wouldn't have changed the story one bit". I'll reiterate; If the genderrswap issue isn't actually necessary for the plot or essential in any way, then it is wasted.
