I just hate that this is not possible in the story, because it took Jiraiya's fucking DEATH for Tsunade to realize that she loved him.

I agree with Anon 1 too much for my own belief and this irony even occurs in rl. Girls refuse to even look at the guy chasing them who actually has good bf or husband material, but then get sorry and a change of heart at the last second when it's too late. Either death or another woman comes to take the guy away and she's left with nothing, but a look of stupidity and remorse.
