Bilingual Chinese actor/martial artist/filmmaker born on November 27, 1940 and died in July 20, 1973. Although he lived a short life, he is one of the most iconic and widely recognized Asian celebrities with a large impact on both international pop culture and martial arts and has been homaged countless times.

He has acted in both American films and series and Hong Kong films. He actually began appearing in Hong Kong films when he was still a baby and starred in quite a few films as a youth. However, it is the martial arts movies that he made later in his film career that had the biggest international impact. He invented his own martial arts philosophy, and had studied philosophy while enrolled in the University of Washington, called Jeet Kune Do. He is also famous for his portrayal of Kato from The Green Hornet. His take on the character became so popular that he has influenced subsequent portrayals and has inspired homages in Hong Kong films and when the show marketed as 'The Kato Show' in Hong Kong. He has also participated in fights in real life, as well as mentoring aspiring martial artists, and is actually even faster in real life than he is in movies; it's common for directors to tell him to slow down so that the camera can properly capture his movements. He also choreographed many of his film fights and directed one movie, Way of the Dragon, where he famously fought Chuck Norris, in a rare villain role, at the Roman Coliseum. His film Enter the Dragon is a likely inspiration for many fighting tournament themed stories and fighting games. He is also famous for his use of nunchaku as a weapon in his films as a way to demonstrate his character's superior martial arts skill; there will often be a character who tries to use the weapon but ends up hurting himself as opposed to Bruce Lee's character's masterful use. His use of the weapon is a likely inspiration on fictional characters using the weapon and many Bruce Lee clones will also use it as it is closely associated with Bruce Lee.

He is the father of Brandon and Shannon Lee who have also appeared in films and TV series. Unfortunately, the former also lived a short life like Bruce did.

For a period of time after his death, there was a trend of Bruce Lee clones in films as filmmakers tried to find someone who could be the next 'Bruce Lee.' Before he became famous and accordingly given more creative freedom, Jackie Chan was, reluctantly on his part, one of these clones.

Video games have also featured many Bruce Lee clones and the Tekken series features two Bruce Lee clones (Marshall Law and his son Forest), and a Jackie Chan clone (Lei Wulong), making a versus match between both characters the closest thing to a Bruce Lee vs Jackie Chan fight though the two actors have appeared onscreen together in Enter the Dragon (Jackie Chan plays a nameless henchmen and is on screen in a blink and you'll miss it appearance before Bruce snaps his character's neck).

Hokuto no Ken's iconic hero Kenshiro is inspired by both Bruce Lee and Mad Max's hero Max Rockatansky and in the anime and all adaptations of the manga his famous "ATATATATA!" battle cry is reminiscent of Bruce Lee's ferocious high pitched battle cries in his films.
