There's probably some mundane wordplay joke in there somewhere but I can't figure it out honestly. "登りました" can mean a variety of things, but the most common usage is "to climb up", and is also used to talk about "going to a city".
This is actually probably a scene from the Dorter Slums mission area (near the beginning of the story in FFT when you first visit Dorter) where there's a lot of height differences on the battlefield.
