I don't like these.

Yes, I know they are based off of the artwork of Ethan and Lyra, but they could have at least tried to change the pose and use the original artwork for anatomical references.

The boy's clothing, to me anyway, looks too similar to Lucas'. It's also a little bit TOO simple, to me. Not too fond of the star-shaped hair, but if it becomes part of the original artwork, I'll get used to it.

As for the girl, the skirt is a blatant rip off of Dawn's Platinum skirt, which the original artwork wouldn't be so lazy to do. Also the boots and socks seem strikingly similar to Dawn's Platinum outfit, too. The whole top part is also almost identical to Dawn's Diamond and Pearl outfit. Though I kind of like her hair.

Yes, the girl's outfit here looks almost exactly like Dawn's. While the guy's looks like a mix between Ethan/Gold and Lucas.

Personally looking at the screenshots this new girl is looking to be the best of the bunch, at least as far as her 'head' goes. I'm liking the ponytail look alot. Wonder if she'll match up to May. And hope they don't give her that vacant expressionless smile like Lyra/Heart and as seen here.

Let's hope she gets boobs too.

As for the guy, his looking okay in the screenshots. Here, his hair looks really weird and I doubt he'll have that flip of hair at the front like Ethan/Gold. I was kinda of hoping that was he has on is a backwards cap since it'll be kinda odd if it's just some cap with no features. They should look to Kite from .hack for inspiration for the hair.

Last point after a bunch of text...

Come on, Nintendo/Game Freak! We're at Gen V already! When are you gonna let us make our own trainers! We got a bland taste of it in Battle Revolution where everybody was a twin with different clothes. There's no excuse not to have it now, the technology more than allows for it, especially with the 3DS on the horizon. Shit.

Anonymous is right. The appeareances are incredibly spot on from what you can see in the sprites. The girl's hair and hat are pretty much certain as for the male I have no clue I haven't seen any images featuring himonly the new female player character.
