Coloring (Shimapan Section)
Putting the color on the basic multiplication layer.
Since the striping is done in/through the multiplication (layer), at the end I erase the main line and correct the color tone.
I up the contrast in Photoshop a little, and raising the values for Color Balance Shadow Magenta a little makes it look better, so I recommend it.
Shimapan. For whichever reasons, they are very popular in 2D.
They usually come out poorly if done vertically, instead of sideways (as those here).
For the stripe's colors, light-blue, peach, and white are the usual ones.
The width of the stripes and how many to draw isn't something that's clear. My personal way is to draw as many stripes as I can while having them to be pretty fat.
