Wow lots of Gaara fanboys here.
No matter how much you hate him, Naruto won because he's stronger.
Plot Armor my ass. Naruto was keeping up with Gaara's sand with his clones which isn't different from the way he's always fought. Then he tricked Gaara (like he did during the first fight) and landed a Rasengan on his defense.
Naruto won fair and square.
In fact, in the end, he even had a killing blow guaranteed, but changed it for a regular punch due them being friends.
I like Gaara as much as everyone, but its annoying when people whine about how a battle went only because their favorite character lost.

First of all I'm a Gaara fan all the way so this is my unbiased opinion.
First: It's a movie, not cannon, Kishimoto had no control over the fight.
Second: Naruto would have still won, Naruto doesn't know the word lose. He never gives up when someone he cares for is on the line, even in the movie Gaara realizes this... And when speaking to the others says he's moved to Naruto's way of thinking. Which he always does, right down to at first disagreeing with him entering the war and then realizing... It's Naruto fucking Uzumaki, he won't lose.
