Anon5 Loran was *supposed* to be a girl. The Gundam people said 'no' to the original plan of the protagonist being a woman so the writer got back at them by making Loran in-cred-i-bly feminine. And then eventually pretending to be a girl anyway.

The creator of turn A gundam wanted Loran to be a female but Sunrise did not want that idea so this is the creators of saying Stuff You Sunrise by making Loran as male but as female as possible.
A tanned white haired female leading for gundam turn A would have been a nice turn and the scene Victorian as well.
