This is not first time I came across the picture. I had seen this first time about 6 years ago. But am not still quite sure of it´s meaning.
Perhaps a pun from another picture from another author where is under the green leaves no saucer on a table but bird nest on a tree... Is the another picture part of set?

assuming that is someone else's lunch, i'd kill the bird, wake the girl, then hide the girl in my (rather roomy) front pocket and replace her with the bird. then, after we get home, i'd fix whatever harm the previous 'owner' did to her, and raise her as if she was my own child (although i'd ditch the jewelry box and just put her on my shoulder)
