Now...I'm watching the Hellsing Ultimate OVA and they may have changed the gender of him so that it was less "disturbing" to some "potential viewers" but in the anime they call Schrodinger a female on multiple occasions. Maybe later like in episode 6 or something they call him a he but as of yet I haven't seen a reference to him being a male.
