Lucario, the successor of Mewtwo.

Well...at least in Brawl.

While Lucario is awesome, I always thought it was odd he got Mewtwo's spot. I mean, they're the opposite in types, and type-wise, Mewtwo would slaughter Lucario. Psychic > Fighting

Lucario is neutral to Psychic. It is a dual fighting/steel type. The difference is that Mewtwo can learn Aura sphere too. Which means that it can in fact still KO Lucario with damage to spare.

i would've much preferred mewtwo coming back... i mean, sure with lucario i can pretend im pulling off a kamehameha, but thats not as fun as playing with mewtwo.

Atleast Lucario wasn't terribly made and was more playable. It was still a pretty good character in its own right.

Unlike Ike who was pretty much... a Roy Clone down to nearly every move. Mewtwo and Lucario had two things in common, a Neutral B move, and a similar-looking design. That was literally it.

I feel so sorry for Mewtwo, if he had fallen into the hands of a normal trainer's family... then was raised with hugs and cuddling and sleeping in beds with trainers and eating on the family table... things would be so better.

He would still be epic and powerful, but then less 'troubled' inside.
