See, this is the kind of thing that really pisses me off.

Unlike gamergate, which I did not pay any attention to during its occurrence (and I still don't really know what it is now), I have seen pretty much all of what the Sweet Baby backlash entailed. Not only is it a big nothingburger, but it does not warrant a fucking FBI-supervised company to "speak out" in their defense. Some spanish gamers simply published Steam Curator of games that have Sweet Baby. Inc. within its contacts, some dumb man-hating employee started playing the victim and wanted the people to doxx themselves over it, and she was simply humiliated for her own choice of words. That's it. The employees made fools of themselves, started deleting evidence of bad things they said publicly, and doubled down by saying stupid points in midst of it. The criticism was all warranted.

Look, I get there are actual basement dwelling harassing incels out there (fuck them, I'll never make excuses for those people) but the majority of people are not harassing the employees; they're simply just calling out lame woke bullshit for what it is. It's such a blatant attempt at playing victim and I refuse to believe even the idiots defending them are actually that gullible. I think they know they're not actually being oppressed, they know they simply fucked up by reacting unprofessionally, and they know playing victim is an easy card to propose more upcoming virtue signaling bullshit.

So some black woman....... I mean..... non-binary person is making headlines in the gaming community because she.... I mean.... they said that they don't want to hire white people. They were a former EA game dev, and specifically said they don't want to hire white people because of..... reasons.

I hope people realize that saying stupid things like this aren't exactly helping the "you can't be racist against white people" argument.

They are claiming that they are getting threats and even screenshotted one to cast as evidence...

I find it curious that they can dox a Brazilian guy for making a list of games they are associated with but even with the backing of the government and billionaires they can't seem to find the people making these so called threats.

I can agree AAA is churning out more flops like Hollywood movies are lately. Knew it was a matter of time before anti-fun "busybodies" would try to infiltrate the medium because it's such a large market. That's normal, just vote with your wallet and stick with smaller AA companies and indie studios. Less brain-rot and more fun.

Helldivers 2 been my jam for the past few weeks. Their game dev studio understood the market with their message, "A game for everyone is a game for no one". Just hope they continue that mission statement and not end up like CapCom, Blizzard, etc

The main problem isn't "E for Everyone", it's developers interpetation of that.

That stuff was funny, though. I always get irked when people say that killed BG3 for them. Even if it wasn't humorous, that still didn't kill me excitement for an actual Baldur's Gate RPG in over 2 decades.

I'm actually surprised no one point me out that I put "visual novels" alongside with walking sims in a negative light. For a website like this I thought I get a flack out of this.
