Don't worry, I was already debating whether to post the last one or not, I won't drag this any further.

Yeah, sorry, I totally missed the "at birth" part. Meanwhile, you seemed to miss me saying I only support limited choice - he, she, they and maybe it, nothing else, no crazy stuff, no "custom entry". Adding custom input pronouns to a game could be pretty easy, but I wouldn't support it - invites further rot. Some people need to learn how to handle not having it their way. In fact, I hate using "it" for anything living, including animals, and I'd like to see it used less, not more, so if games start offering a pronoun choice by default, hopefully it's just "he/she/they", placed either somewhere in the character creation screen right next to sex/gender, or options - I don't wanna see "Are a boy/girl/both/thing?" question at the very start of each game, most people won't ever use this feature so let's respect that.

As for the rest, that part somehow feels like you either think I advocate something I don't or just arguing with yourself kinda. I get you have strong emotions about this, understandable if you're dealing with it IRL too - which most of us don't - but some of those things are out of the blue and as I said, I don't wanna drag this out. Especially as I agree that all the ridiculous things you brought up without me ever defending them are ridiculous. Mostly the only thing I disagree with is the argument against "they/them" based on grammar, since languages aren't set in stone. But that's still off-topic and I think it wouldn't lead anywhere regardless.

Embrace Prof. Oak's question.
Character Customization in general is stale when you just design your human, like one of those dress up flash games with dark secrets.
Have a lot of variety, have bipeds, quadrupeds and limbless instead of blue human.

Nah man WeeGee it isn’t you I am arguing with. I’m just pointing out the inconsistencies of that community at large. I actually agree with some of the things they stand for, but I hate censorship of all kinds, and I hate being told to respect people who don’t deserve it. There is definitely a strawman in this conversation if no particular person is being argued, so I agree that it’s kinda meaningless beyond us just saying what we think and just leaving it like that.

Hee-Ho

That made me laugh.

If they harm our rights and our speech, then they don't deserve to be respected.

Yeah it'd be for the best to keep this on topic; related closely to the gaming industry.

Point I was mainly making, was that it is a huge problem that the gaming industry is both catering to crazy people AND hiring these folk into the business. It's not even a "well get over chuddie! dey just have different viewpoints den you!" situation. I happen to respect the mutual respecting of people having different stances (as long as their not batshit insane, like incels) but this shit's actively making everything worse for those of us not apart of their crazy wonderland.

It's SUPER depressing to see a game developer who has a high up position (senior artist, senior programmer, main creator of a game, etc.) have a totally dogshit opinion that goes against what the majority of traditional gaming audience is.

I happen to enjoy The Last of Us 2 despite all its narrative flaws and all the criticism it got, but the blatant LGBTQ+/feminist pandering and the stupid fucking creator spewing dumb takes and political bullshit on his twitter really soured my mood on the series. Why must it be this way?

Also I'm looking forward to Stellar Blade. It's not often you see an AAA game with a super hot female protagonist. East Asia has gotten that part right.

I really hoping Stellar Blade is a huge success to show Japanese devs how unnecessary it is to tone down fanservice.

Sadly, I think it's gonna take a lot more than Stellar Blade being a huge success to sway the current motives.

Definitely gonna have to be a trend but the fact that a 1st party studio is allowing and backing type of content and character design sends a strong message.

I tend to stick to indies and the occasional AA game or two
