Gonna be honest, you named some pretty shitty reasons to hate on the game. Like, who cares about the door feature, I didn't even notice that shit, lol.
I grew up with the original, so of course I'm going to place it evenly solid with the REM4KE. But if I didn't, then I'd say it'd be much easier to consider the REM4KE the superior game.
That's why I halfway suspect you're just hating on it because some people do so because it's the newer game.

Yeah, it was a rare Crowbcat L.
His videos are usually spot on, but that one was just super nitpicky and stupid.
He also must've purposefully turned down the background audio because there's more audio detail in REM4KE if you actually listen closely.

Yasuke was a real person who was a dark-skinned African Man. Nobody was "blackwashed".
While him being an actual samurai seems to be heavily debated as of recently, ultimately it doesn't matter as Assassin's Creed was never really super historically accurate.

Most people agree Cleopatra was a white-skinned Greek, not a black woman. Obviously modern Egyptians would take issue that a prominent historical figure of their country was blackwashed.
It's not like they made Miyamato Mushashi black.
