Ada Wong is the only thing in REM4KE that I'd consider a huge drop from the original. Because I hate her in that game, and her voice actress.

I won't give it a pass because "better grahipks", if the a remake misses the mark of what made it good and does it terribly, then it's a shit game. Doesn't matter.

Also I hardly would consider a game that many people, including hardcore RE fans, giving scores of 9/10 and above to be a "shit game"

Okay, most fans (not reviewers or journalists) agree it's pretty damn good.

I can give a shit-load of list, but as a example.
Doors are less dynamic, you can't nuke them and use them as weapons anymore
Ashley's AI is more shitty.
The Chainsaw death is goofy as fuck while in the original is terrifying as should mind you who we are talking about.
Boss arenas are far more larger and circular, to compensate Leon's improved movement which both feels just like nu-RE, the original felt more unique while the remake was more spherical or rectangular. It feels like I'm playing a DOOM wad boss, even then most of then had more than that.
Enemies most of the time doesn't react to bullets unlike the original.
Such cases.

Ashely got a huge ass improvement character wise instead of being a whiny damsel in distress (the story in general honestly i prefer way more in remake). Most of the bosses in og 4 i found super clunky and bad. The QTE’s have always been and always will be annoying and bad in the original.
Idk i think you have bad nostalgia goggles on for the OG because it definitely has problems. I’m not gonna say one is better over the other though, i feel it unfair a comparison cuz they both play so different.
