The saddest part is that it's destroying the good will and high reputation the game has built up both quickly and naturally. Helldivers 2 was lightning in a bottle and everyone seemed to love it.

Sony is very likely largely to blame. Fuck sony.

Edit: Yes, it's sony's fault. The community manager just said most of the devs don't like the decision, and are looking to plead to Sony to reverse it. It breaks TOS and affects many regions that don't have PSN.

I wonder why game devs don't just partner up with valve at this point rather trust scum companies like sony? Then again Valve isn't a game company anymore, it's literally just a bridge at this point.

Today Steam purchases for the game were disabled in countries not supported by PSN, likely something Valve forced to protect themselves from more refunds:

One of the community managers on Twitter said "So we can ban people", not sure if this was a troll post from them or not.

I bet it is to scam investors by telling them "See, our company has a bright future, just look at how many accounts (no consoles) have been made!"

As their investor larry fink(ceo of blackrock) said they want to change people's behavior through these kind of stuff. After all most if not all of their game is sbi and esg infected.
