In Response to Anon Post #176870,
It wouldn't matter if the whole Crew was def if the Navigator Isn't; You'd all be doomed to the song of the siren. It helps to have a good captain that knows the dangers of the sea well.
Again, This is one of those Mamono's to avoid if you don't want to be dependent upon them.
Those Special Magic Earplugs should be worn out at sea(By everyone on deck; Especially the Navigator), good to know they have other applications other than thwarting the screams of mandragoras.
Yep, this one's going on my list of Mamono Girls to Avoid.
Only salvage would be to learn that song, but other than that, I see no purpose to pursuit this Mamono Girl, other than for a bounty on their head.

The concept of the siren was taken from the Odyssey. As I recall, they sang so beautifully that sailors either sailed towards them and shipwrecked, or jumped ship, and either way ended up dead. Odysseus had to sail past their location. He had his crew all wear earplugs, but had himself tied to the mast with no earplugs, so that he could hear the sirens' song and live.
These sirens seem somewhat less malicious, but the Odysseus tactic is still the best.
