I doubt that when she was designed, that they had any clue as to what magnitude her outfit would be sexualized and fetishized. It feels like ever since her debut, they’ve been trying to desperately tone her down and reel her back in. Because I feel like Rikku, Fran and Cindy have pretty risqué outfits themselves but don’t exactly get handled with the same level of concern.

I feel they should embrace it instead of shunning it. They made a character many people find sexy, they should be proud not ashamed even if it was accidental.
