Not surprised, the kyoto animation company (or where ever this show is made) steals a lot of stuff from other animes. exhibit A; Lucky stars is a ripoff of azumanga and the purpl haired sisters look like rin and miku.

I see a walking scene,
A pose scene,
And a jump at the screen scene.

Scenes like that are on every anime, saying that these are ripoffs is the same as saying that ryu's hadouken is a copy of goku's kamehameha. Now stop bitching.
