I think this a reference to that classic support the war effort poster circa World War II. The one with the “We Can Do It!” slogan with a lady flexing her guns, ready to support the troops and pitch in.
I’m sure that particular piece has a title but I don’t know it at the top of my head. I think the lady depicted in it goes by the moniker of Rosie the Riveter though.
Probably not an accident that a fused being composed of two characters is doing a homage to that. Really emphasizes the WE in that phrase.
