It's actually the creature that was deleted out as a deleted cutscene for Dead Space: Downfall, Alyssa Vincent encounters it when she was in the middle of stopping Kyne from scuttling the ship, and Kyne escaped when the creature appeared. By the way, I see Irons and Ramirez on there...
