It DOES happen in a different Universe, as those Character Models appearing in the Garlic Jr. TV Saga, which either should be considered Filler or Part of the Movieverse.

And i wouldn't call it a fighting over Yamcha. They're just cowed and overwhelmed by Marons Appereance, and therefore desperately trying to proove anyone of their still intact thiccness i guess, because.. first world problems of women y'know.

It doesn’t happen in a different universe, this is universe 7. And no this is fighting over Yamcha. So no this isn’t filler. They aren’t overwhelmed or cowed by Maron’s appearance
