Even the people who are complaining it's futa don't know what the hell a futa is.
Futanari (二成, 二形; ふたなり, literally "dual form") is the Japanese word for androgyny or hermaphrodite.
Generally in hentai, futanaris are futanarikko (female futa) which are hermaphrodites of the female form. It can be best described as a woman with a functioning penis added. However, futanari also applies to hermaphrodites of male form as well.
Futanari should only be used on images depicting a character with both male and female genitalia, or images where it's ambiguous whether the character has two sets of genitalia or not, as is often the case with full-package futanari. If you can clearly see that the character does not have a vagina, the tag does not apply. Use "newhalf" instead in such cases.
Notes:
Futanari is not male.
Futanari is not yaoi or yuri
Futanari should not be confused with newhalf, which is specifically shemales.
Futa is not having breasts and a penis, futa is having a penis (balls optional) AND a vagina at the same time. Futas can have balls, they're called full-package futa, the vagina is usually just behind the balls.
Newhalfs, on the other hand, are transgendered males and while they may have breasts, a penis, and balls they DO NOT have a vagina. That is what makes something a newhalf or a futa-- whether they have a vagina or not.
Vagina = Girl with a dick
No vagina = Transgender male
And saying "as is apparent from the other images of him/her" is a terrible defense. Unless it's official art, using other images cannot add credence to this one.
