Many people claim Fire Emblem is sort of twisted since it seemingly promotes incest. What people may not know is that many families (Mostly nobles) would force their children to marry each other to keep the bloodlines pure. (On the account of only child, they would choose closest relative. ie. Cousins) Of course, they stopped the practice after the diseases came to plague their descendants.

Lastly, twincest is actually more common then incest. Justified in that as twins, they would share the same interests and know each other more... Sorry for typing a history lesson.
