After 119hrs playing this game (which was awesome) my only disappointment was Amaterasu not turning into a form like this at the end. Don't get me wrong, this is one of the most satisfying games I have ever played. I just hoped you could unlock her human form and play through again with both forms for fun.

Actually, if you played Okami, you might remember the spirit of the former head of the Canine Warriors, who you meet right before you enter the dungeon where you aquire the wind power and fight Crimson Helm.
He says something along the line that, despite being blind, his spiritual vision is still strong, and describes Amaterasu's form as that of a 'maiden most fair' instead of a wolf. Amaterasu is also called 'mother of us all' by the Brush Gods you meet throughout the game, so it's always been rather obvious she's female...
