Y'know, sometimes I wonder why pics of Hayate and Reinforce Zwei or Reinforce and Renforce Zwei aren't also tagged as mother and daughter, since Hayate did(in a way) give birth to Reinforce Zwei, and Reinforce Zwei wouldn't have been possible without some of Reinforce's DNA being printed on Hayate's Linker Core.

I'd say it's probably because Hayate and Reinforce didn't have an explicitly romantic relationship (unfortunately, but at least some fans read into the subtext) and Reinforce Zwei never called either of them her parents and is never referred to as their daughter in any canon materials. Fortunately, some fans have picked up on it and drawn this conclusion.

In fact, it was this artist's work that converted me into a shipper of this, and while I have found a little more fanart and fanfic of the ship since then, I've been disappointed that there isn't more. I think the Battle of Aces games have inspired a little more, but I wish it was even more popular. Seems like most people go for Hayate/harem or Hayate/Vita instead, unfortunately. (Although that one fanart...)
