Here's Richelieu, who has stopped at Tottori Harbor on the way back from an uneventful tour of guard duty in the Sea of Japan. From there, she's taking a train south to Okayama, on the Seto Inland Sea, and then it's on to her home port of Kure.
The train she's taking from Tottori Station is the Super Inaba express. Long ago, this line was called Sunaoka. About 20 years ago, it became Inaba, and now it's the Super Inaba. Perhaps next it will return to its roots and become the Great Sunaoka or Hyper Sunaoka.
At the recommendation of a consort ship, Righelieu has bought the "founders' crab sushi," an ekiben staple made with crab from the local harbor. It was made by the 109-year-old shop Abe Tottorido, and of course, it's really tasty!
