I can’t believe a young guy can travel with her and not at least feel something. So apparently as well as not having a proper education system or program, there’s also no puberty? Why are so many young male protagonists in anime so unrealistically singleminded? How many people as a young lad were dead set and focused on something to the point where they had no other interests and nothing could distract them, not even your hormones?

A character doesn’t have to be so one note though. They could have depth, layers and actually change and grow despite being 10 forever. Besides not even Brock really showed interest in her. Maybe they didn’t want to create an uncomfortable love triangle situation or she simply wasn’t his type because he kind of preferred more mature women but just look at what she’s wearing! I mean C’MON! Ash is pretty much asexual at this point.

A character doesn’t have to be so one note though. They could have depth, layers and actually change and grow despite being 10 forever. Besides not even Brock really showed interest in her. Maybe they didn’t want to create an uncomfortable love triangle situation or she simply wasn’t his type because he kind of preferred more mature women but just look at what she’s wearing! The bizarre thing was the artist for that manga was primarily a lolicon artist, but made all the female characters all tits and ass lol.

If Pokemon was published in a different anime studio like Onepiece or Nartuo series Ash would have shown interest in Misty or Serena let alone age with them. Both of them had feelings for him so atleast the girls are mature in their own right. Unfortunately pokemon is an ageless series so Ash will never embrace love his character only has 1 set goal of being a pkmn master a 10 yr old mind collecting pkmn like collecting toys.
