It’s kinda sad seeing how many of those characters don’t even matter anymore. It’s like looking a group shot of Attack on Titan or Walking Dead and seeing how many characters are dead and gone except here it’s seeing how many characters the writer doesn’t give two fucks about anymore but doesn’t even bother killing.

Aside from Lunch and Yamcha, when you exclude his comic relief vibes that he already had from the beginning and what super took on even more and staying somewhat legit to some of his traits, everyone else is actually treated pretty well, with Roshi receiving the most valuation since Piccolo Daimao.
Even Puar, Oolong and Chaozu had at least one little shining Moment. Puar in faking Beerus, Oolong in playing with Beerus for Worlds Safety and Chaozu in trying to holding back Goku with Psychic Powers.
One Thing you can't pillory Super for, is for its Homages to the old Days. I mean it made Goku learning the Mafuba which was pretty dope. As someone that grew up and was introduced with the Original DB, several Stuff in Super nearly made me sharing some Tears.
