That's basically it, really. Goku only cared because Uub had the potential to be as strong as Kid Buu. His Saiyan blood told him that he needed to fight Uub and train him to be worthy of fighting at his full power.

Super is basically full of beings that make Uub look exceedingly weak, to the point where Goku wouldn't care to fight him. Even if they pulled a GT and had Uub fuse with Buu, Goku would end up winning easily, even if he held himself back by 99%.

just look at Frieza, Gohan, 17 and to lesser extend Krillin.

it's now about how strong Buu was, but how strong Uub could be.

My policy about DBS is, don't look too much for any logical explanation about anything on it, is a show themed and adressed for very young kids who really doesn't care much about plot. For me DBS is for DB/DBZ what Teen Titans Go is for Teen Titans.

DB-DBZ is equal to Teen Titans because both were shows for preteen to teen and older.

DBS is equal to Teen Titans Go because is a show for kindergarden to elementary kids, Akira Toriyama himself stated DBS is mainly a show for little kids. Of course anyone older can enjoy it, but is not it's intended target audience.

Uub will surpass everyone just lifting Gym wieghts or breaking some common rock.

Apparently you guys forget the fact that Goku wasn't always a god-ties and gain that level through training. It's not that difficult to understand, Super or not.

You guys are talking as though super didn't retcon GT away. Which, if nothing else, is the best thing it did.

Also, Dragon ball died with the frieza arc. It was all downhill from there.

I've seen GT recently, the story is not that bad and the animation and drawings are far superior than Super, at least I have yet to find a bad animation or drawing in GT so why is that saga regarded as worse than Super or any other sagas?

The worst I've seen is the whole Vegeta going SSJ4 with a machine.

Because People were so upset about the fact that toriyama did not ask for much say, except to roughly look over the shoulder and to create various character designs. Which was used to make any mistake oh so name and shame. Toriyama, in his own work and self-responsibility, had already perpetrated many plotholes though.

One of the most famous was to let Cell regenerating himself after his upper torso was destroyed.
