Gosh, the artstyle isn't even bad. Gotta love how everyone wants for big changes to this series but as soon as there is a very little change in it they start whining.
Not to mention they even get THAT wrong, since this isn't even a trailer for the season.

This is likely a retelling of how Ash started his journey. The directors probably realized that the original episode hasn't been seen by much of their target audience, so it makes sense to show everyone who the main character really is.

Ash has been the same age since the first anime rofl. I dont believe they will ever note his age progression unless its needed to be said.

I never got why people are so hung up on his age. I've never watched The Simpsons or Detective Conan or Crayon Shin-chan and wondered why neither Bart nor Conan nor Shin have aged after some 20+ years.
