You also have to consider the context. These 3 girls had been bullying her for weeks, destroyed the keepsake her grandfather gave her, and beat her to the point of unconsciousness the same day he died, preventing her from being able to say goodbye to him.

The rage and adrenaline -alone- would give her the strength to do something like this, and God knows someone in that situation wouldn't have much reason to hold back. Honestly, I'm surprised they -survived.-

(Also, @Anon2042447 - This isn't a high school...it's an elementary school. These kids are all around *10.*)

To be exact she didn't break her arm, but her joint. It's a subtle distinction but an important one. Joint injuries are much more difficult to heal and frequently cause permanent damage.
