Bans are tied to your internet connection, not your device.

If you're using the tablet over WiFi, it means that someone else has been using your WiFi to poison tags. If you're using cellular, those IP addresses get shared by the whole network. There was quite a length of time when my phone's IP was banned despite having owned the device for over a year and me being a moderator, just beecause someone else that uses my provider decided to cause problems.

In either case, there isn't really anything we can do about it.

Thank you Jerl :) i do happen to share my wifi with neighbours (the guy i bought the tablet from was one) so i guess ive learned my lesson with that

(There was alot of Tag editing on his banned account, i guess thats what happens when he doesn't factory reset before selling to someone) apparently he's done it on ATF and Lolibooru when that was a thing)

Sharing internet access is VERY DANGEROUS. If the account is registered to you, but your neighbour commits fraud/crime on the internet, you will be held responsible. Also, the wifi ban story doesn't hold water, because none of your other devices would be granted access as well.
