I really wish TVTokyo or Nintendo or GameFreak or whoever would've just retired Ash after the original series and start each new region with a new hero. Not having him win a league is just a giant middle finger to the fans.

Yeah the other characters look fine like Sugimori always designs them, but Ash looks like he's from a Studio Ghibli animation.

I'm not saying it's bad,but he kinda looks out of place here.

I'm more than likely talking out of my ass but I'm hearing Serena will show up around the third or fifth episode I don't have a source so it's more than likely never to happen. However Brock in the Sinnoh poster was never mentioned and showed up alittle later in the anime. Also this is the first we're seeing Ash's mom in the poster so....plus this series may be like Orange Island's so Ash may start over somewhere else with a different story, it'd be nice to see Misty again.

@ Anon#2021424 - Kanto is based on the Kanto region of Japan, and Alola is obviously based on Hawaii, so, yeah, if they are roughly in the same positions geographically as their real-world counterparts than Alola is closer to Kanto than Kalos was (since Kalos is based on France), and definitely closer than Unova (based on New York).
