@Anon4 I think of a couple reasons.
1. This artist drew the characters in his own style, so match each character up is harder.
1. The only physical features Yamato has that separate him from a background character is his eyes and headpiece; neither appear in this picture.
2. Yamato was always a character that was only present. He's actually in a lot of episodes/chapters, but he's always in the background. He has no memorable scenes or fights in the manga and his only purpose was to make sure Kurama didn't take control of Naruto, but he failed to do that several times over
