I'm not seeing any animated posts that use WebM. Anyone having the same problem or know how to fix it?

If you're using AdBlock Plus, click on the icon (if you're using Firefox, it'll be in the upper right hand corner) and select "Filter Preferences". From there, if you don't already, you're going to want to create a filter group titled "Exception Rules"; in it, you're going to want to hit "Add Filter" and type in the following: gelbooru.com#@#video

That'll let the WebMs get through without having to disable ABP entirely.

i have one question! now that i've spotted that the search bar is also deactivated by ad blocker, why don't you guys from gelbooru deactivate the images too so we all are forced to shut off ad blocker.
i know that we who use ad blocker are the jerks here. but still, i'm just wondering. ;-)

We aren't the ones that deactivated the search bar. That was done by Adblock itself, or more specifically the Easylist filter list for it. I guess whoever makes the filters for Gelbooru doesn't use the site himself and didn't bother to check if his filters would disable important site functions, because he added one that, in one fell swoop, killed the search bar, the user statistics on the account page, and at one point, literally the entire front page.

You can complain about it on their forums if you think it's shitty:
