@OnyxSwift There are 3 Canon timelines in the Zelda franchise stemming from Ocarina of Time 1 Where Link Defeats Ganon goes back in time and continues his life from his childhood 1 where he stays in the future and continues living as an adult and 1 where Ganon straight up Kills Link and destroys the land I believe the Grief Theory can relate to the first one where Link went back to live as a child and TP Link is the Descendent of the Link who remained as an Adult. Theres 3 Canon timelines after all why not let the theorists have their fun?

Actually, the Adult Timeline continues after Link has been sent back in time by Zelda after the Seven Sages sealed Ganondorf in the Evil Realm. There is no descendant to the Hero in the Adult timeline because Link was sent back in time, thus no one to wield the Master Sword against Ganondorf when he eventually breaks free of the seal.
