So sad that this show promoted pedophilia, because that's what the teacher turns into. He should have REPORTED her behavior, not tried to hide it until she was "old" enough for him to rape her. A "comedy" about pedophiles, only in fucked up Japan.

While anon1's knee-jerk reaction deserves the downvotes, there is some concern to be had about the situation this series provided, at least from the male mc's perspective.
Rin's mental age (at least concerning sex/romance) was much higher then her physical age, and she demonstrated a very devious/manipulative side as well. Imagine this happening to you irl. Especially given the ability of females to fuck up a male's life just on an -accusation- of abuse/misconduct, regardless of its true or not.
Now throw in her physical age, and you've got an incredibly dangerous situation to be in, as the male (especially if you are an adult).

Yeah chances are someone would have reported him to the police due to what Rin says while others are around. If kids are talking about you seeing them naked I'm certain that wouldn't work out well.
Japan has very strict protective laws for minors (as they should) but the anime shows a child pretty much taking advantage of that (like many women) which isn't exactly unrealistic but horrifying when you think about it. It makes him unable to do anything about the situation besides leave I guess.

"Reporting" her behavior could completely ruin Rin's life, making her "bad/wrong girl", or labeling her with "illness" or mental disorder, and attracting unnecessary attention to Rin. While having stalker brother at home, she just needed some warm and alive relationships with people and sensei gave her that.
Aoki made his best from the situation, to be honest. "Reporting" would be worst decision.
