I still believe that the female character design (especially that of Kuribayashi) is bad...especially in comparison to the manga....Kuribayashi is supposed to be 30-32 years old...I look at this character design and I think to myself "what the heck is a 15 year old girl doing in the military"

Yeah the anime has weird character design, and not only the girls. Take Zorzal here: in the webnovel and manga, he looks like a very buff roman emperor. Here he's more a Gilgamesh wannabe.

Yanagida is bad too, he looks like the father of Cardcaptor Sakura.

Much as I dislike the direction the anime took in terms of character design (plus how much they toned everything down), this scene was still insanely satisfying. I guess that makes Zorzal Gate's Umbrige: no matter the medium, we can all agree we hate him.

@Sample: It's one of his teeth, a molar unless I miss my guess; it's kinda hard to tell in this gif because of the blood on the base and the shadowy ceiling it flies towards.
