^Actually true. Studies indicate that girls (and boys) are entering puberty at younger ages than they used to. Diet is usually tapped as the likely cause, though no one's entirely sure. It causes all sort of physical problems -- stunted growth for one -- and mental issues, which of course it does, can you imagine having to deal with teenage hormone shit when you're only like 8 years old? Nightmare.

Slut shaming is finally starting to get unacceptable, but some kinds of people are slower than others.
But yeah there is a lot of negative things that come with puberty and "grown-up" sexuality. Also all these things, both the positive as well as the negative ones will mean that there is less space in the children's lives for many of the things that we feel that children should do, like playing together.
I guess what we should do is to try to encourage and give sanctuary to the positive childish things even when they are older. While at the same time not freaking out and acting irrationally about things like if your little girl suddenly has got a "boyfriend" at her age. There are some things you can do something about and there are some things that you can't do anything about. That does not mean that you should not make rules about these things.
As a parent, you should be confident and strong but always loving and affectionate. And try not to give in to sentimental nonsense and general irrationality which the media is so full of.

Her face looks about 6
Her body looks about 10
And her breasts look about 20
But I like it.
