Actually it is a swastika, it's just not the Nazi's. Western culture has made that symbol taboo, but unfortunately the majority are still ignorant of any and all knowledge of its true origin and meaning.

The Swastika is an ancient symbol found in all Aryan ("European", although not all of our race live in Europe) cultures, hence why the Nazis adopted it, much in the same way that they adopted the European salute.
