yeah no...you lost me half way through that description, that is how little i like the Magical Girl genre. Dig the artwork though, which is why I clicked on it despite the Mahou SHoujo?Magical Girl tags.

It's not actually a Magical Girl show though. It's just High School Of The Dead but with zombified mahous instead of regular zombies. Yuuki Yuuna and Madoka Magica were more Magical Girl than this, and they were subversions.
