You guys realize that hentai doesn't get NEAR as much money as normal anime shows right? That would definitely LOSE money by making this into a hentai. There is hardly ANY hentai that goes up to 12 episodes. You are lucky just to get two anymore. Only the few REALLY popular ones get a good string of episodes and that's pretty rare. It doesn't help that America obviously doesn't license hentai anymore which was another source of income that is gone.
This goes into the quality of hentai as well. Since the industry hardly makes that much money you aren't going to see many companies throwing money down the drain they won't see coming back. These people have a business to run you know. It's not a charity.

Anon 3, isn't it obvious? Ever since the explosion of the internet and shit like torrents, piracy has absolutely wrecked the industry. Hentai already wasn't getting and producing the same numbers as stuff like ecchi, so having releases be spoiled and thousands of people who might have actually bought it get it for free obviously is going to hurt sales significantly. Look at shit like Angel Blade, legendary quality fucking hentai, but it came out like over 10 years ago. I definitely download shit illegally first, but if something's good like Futabu or Victorian maid maria, I will Always buy a physical copy... and I wish other people would have that mantra because I think we'd have gotten a good number of sequels to great hentai if it was actually supported.
