Correct anon the whole anime for the most part became like 70% cliche with the whole "school girl" trope with the last bit of difference being of course that they have made a few historical references and have guns but I would say that Sabagebu delivered the entertainment aspect better for a "girls with guns" concept. I think they could have done quite a bit better with the delivery to do the manga or game justice.

Agree, I loved this girl even though I don't follow the game that much, pretty epic for a character with 0 lines and little screentime.
Even with all the anime-power-up crap that they asspulled on the final scene of the battle she kept acting and looking like a confident badass. Her design was pretty awesome too.
