'VIRULENT' adjective, descended from Latin 'virulentus', from Latin 'virus' i.e. 'poison'
Common definition of virulent; 1a: marked by a rapid, severe, and malignant course; 1b: able to overcome bodily defensive mechanisms.
'virulent' is a term typically used to describe a pathogen/infection that kills its host so quickly that it provides little opportunity for the pathogen to spread. IOW, it's a hyper lethal contagion that has such a short incubation-contagious-host mortality time that there is little risk of the infection spreading to a community and beyond.
Perhaps our translator meant to say 'virile'?
