I don't see what's wrong so about him using Japanese mythology as inspiration for his new monster girls. He's already used different mythology from various countries around the world as inspiration, Like Greek mythology for his Scylla and Charybdis profiles, and Egyptian Myths for his Apophis, Khepri, and Pharaoh profiles. I could list more, but it would probably take a while. It's not "old" Just because they're girls based on creatures from legends that have been around for years. Think of it as Kenkou Cross putting a new Spin on the legends. A cuter, more sexual spin.
