I can't even play a piano, let alone a keytar. In my eyes, a keytar is a mobile synthesizer, so it's just as much an instrument requiring talent as a guitar or a piano/synthesizer.

Guitar is actually tougher then keytar.
I've played both. Keytar just seemed stupid. You're only involving one hand, which isn't in the slightest a challenge, so I found it boring. With guitar, the fingering is more complex, and you sometimes have to do different movements with the strumming hand. Not to mention artificial harmonics for electric guitar.
