Most ppl will be too curious what the negative post says, this is especially true if the negative comment is getting backlash, which just proves further that ppl are reading them. And the problem is that it isn't just bad comments that are down-voted, but a general opinion or innocent remarks that doesn't fit the masses opinion will be down-voted as well.
