Spoilers because: the next movie addresses them both coming to terms with their true sexuality and their struggle to conquer their fears of social backlash of a royal affair that crosses two kingdoms. It's a beautiful journey of two maidens letting go of their loveless previous relationships to finally embrace their inner passions. A film to show Disney's long-waited acceptance that stories of alternative relationships can be just as beautiful, if not more, than the standard relationship.

well rapunzel did have a one second cameo (along with flynn) in frozen which means the movies exist in the same canon

By that logic (given all the cameo's and sight-gags), all Disney movies are part of the same canon, and so too (via "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?") are all of the Warner Brothers works. If someone can work Hanna-Barbera into the mix, then almost all Western animation is in the same canon as "Frozen" and "Rapunzel"......

I don't understand why people think that tangled's rapunzel would be anna and elsa's mom? just because their songs in their movies sound the same and that anna and elsa's mother looks a bit like rapunzel as an adult or something like that?
