Anon 2 and Anon 3, the tags clearly say Avance is a girl. Also, incase you didn't know, Duel Terminal does not say son, but "son", meaning that Avance isn't male, but a girl who is assuming the role of a boy. It's also stated that Avance is "married" to another woman. Implying that again, Avance is female, wed to another female, as a set of lesbians. Anon 1 wasn't trying to enforce any ideas on people, but was probably saying what I just told you all. What you get from doing actual research.

Anon1 and Anon4 are on the right track here guys. Further details to confirm Avance is female, are evident in her design. Her hair, is a common style for women in the military, in asian design. Her eyes are the common eyes of a stern and strong female, often seen on young adult women or late teens. Her facial structure is also that of a young adult female, due to the placement of her cheeks and her chin. If she was male, the chin would be more pointed and the eyes would be smaller, asnd the cheeks would be lower on the face. She also is clearly drawn without an adam's apple, which only males have. Her waist is almost but not exactly the hourglass shape of many female characters. Her nose is the same size as a lot of female monsters, which are known to be small rounded triangles. Her shoulders are as round as DMG's shoulders and not broad like any male monster. Even evident here, she has a thigh gap, like any other female monster. Further comparison, shows that Avance has the same facial structure of Fire Sorceror, which we know to be a female monster. Will all of this evidence of Avance having a female design and even the lore behind her saying Natalia had an implied son. Implied meaning she wanted a son, but had a daughter. Those same words are present in many stories of japanese origin. Confirmation of her being a female monster. Even without the lore, her design alone screams female.
